As of 1 Jan. 2011, new EU regulations will come into force in order to analyse and control the risks of the cross-border movement of goods.
The EU regulations will be nationally implemented in each EU member state, as well as in Switzerland and Norway in the respective electronic customs systems. While there will be differences in the practical implementation, there will be a central EU database for the risk analysis operating in the background, so that varying results will not occur.

Erst Nairobi, dann Mombasa: Im Frühjahr 2010 hatte Logwin eine eigene Landesorganisation in Kenia gegründet und den ersten Standort in der Hauptstadt Nairobi eröffnet. Im Oktober folgte die zweite Niederlassung in Mombasa. „Der Start verlief reibungslos und nach den ersten drei Monaten können wir eine positive Zwischenbilanz ziehen“, sagt Patrick Federle, Managing Director Region Africa im Logwin-Geschäftsfeld Air + Ocean. „Besonders im Bereich Seefrachtimport sind unsere Services gefragt.“ Mombasa ist die zweitgrößte Stadt in Kenia. Hier befindet sich der wichtigste Hafen Ostafrikas, der auch von Nachbarländern wie Tansania und Uganda für den Im- und Exporthandel genutzt wird. Logwin ist in Kenia unter anderem für Kunden aus den Branchen Konsumgüter, Perishables und Telekommunikation tätig.
Auch in Südafrika stehen bei Logwin die Zeichen auf Wachstum: In Johannesburg, dem Wirtschaftszentrum des Landes, eröffnete das Unternehmen zum 1. Januar 2011 ein zweites Warehouse. Es bietet auf circa 3.500 Quadratmetern rund 3.400 Palettenstellplätze. Damit betreibt Logwin in Johannesburg jetzt insgesamt 6.500 Quadratmeter Lager- und Logistikfläche. Der Logistikdienstleister nutzt das neue Warehouse als Distributionszentrum für hochwertige und sensible Güter wie beispielsweise Fashion- und Lifestyle-Artikel sowie Elektronik-Produkte.

First Nairobi, now Mombasa. Logwin established its own country organization in Kenya in the spring of 2010 with its first location in the capital, Nairobi. The second location followed in Mombasa in October. “The launch went smoothly, and the results after the first three months are extremely promising”, explains Patrick Federle, Managing Director Region Africa at Logwin’s Air + Ocean business segment. “There is a great demand for our services in the area of sea freight imports, in particular.” Mombasa is the second largest city in Kenya and the most important port in East Africa, which is also used by neighbouring countries such as Tanzania and Uganda for their import and export trade. Logwin provides services in Kenya, for example, for customers from the consumer goods, perishable goods and telecommunications sectors.
All the signs in South Africa indicate growth for Logwin. The company opened its second warehouse in Johannesburg, the country’s economic capital, on 1 January 2011. It offers space for 3,400 pallets over approx. 3,500 m². This means that Logwin now manages a total of 6,500 m² of storage and logistics space in Johannesburg

The global logistics service provider Logwin has acquired all outstanding shares in the Logwin local Turkish company. Logwin previously held 75 percent of the shares with 20 percent being held by the former managing director, Ercan Ataman, and five percent by the Turkish company KITA logistics. Ercan Ataman and Emre Eldener left the management team by amicable agreement at the end of 2010. Sadik Baydere, who was appointed new Country Manager for Turkey on 1 November, has assumed responsibility for the management of the company, Logwin Solutions Lojistik Hizmetleri.
Logwin has locations in Turkey in Izmir and Istanbul. A staff of 49 work for customers from the automotive, electronics and high-tech, textiles and fashion sectors as well as in retail. Logwin customers in Turkey can take advantage of all international transportation and logistics services, from simple forwarding, distribution and warehousing to value-added services and full-service contract logistics solutions.

03.02.2011 Der weltweit tätige Logistikdienstleister Logwin, Grevenmacher/Luxemburg, hat mit der Lufthansa Cargo AG eine Vereinbarung für die Verwendung von Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) unterzeichnet. Dies gab der Logistikdienstleister jetzt bekannt. Damit ist es eigenen Angaben zufolge das erste Unternehmen, das von dem Carrier als Leading Partner ausgewählt wurde.

Incoterms® sind ein internationales Regelwerk zur Auslegung handelsüblicher Vertragsformeln im internationalen Warenhandel. Sie wurden von der Internationalen Handelskammer (International Chamber of Commerce, ICC) entwickelt und 1936 erstmals aufgestellt.
Die letzte Fassung sind die Incoterms® 2010 (7. Revision).
Incoterms sollen vor allem die Art und Weise der Lieferung von Gütern regeln. Sie legen die Kostenteilung bezüglich Fracht, Versicherungsprämie, Einfuhr- und Ausfuhrzöllen etc. fest und regeln die Frage des Gefahrenübergangs vom Verkäufer auf den Käufer.
Durch die Vereinbarung der Incoterms in Kaufverträgen wird die unterschiedliche Auslegung von Handelsklausen in den verschiedenen Ländern vermieden oder zumindest erheblich eingeschränkt.
